The following items describe and define what makes this church family unique, what our purpose is and what our goals are. New Life Christian Fellowship is a living organism, composed of all the people who are part of it. This is what we value, what motivates us and shapes us as the body.

To be a people of prayer, seeking the heart of God and releasing HIS purposes and power through intercession into our community, our nation and the world.

To reach out into Alpena and the surrounding communities with the good news of Jesus Christ, freely giving away what God has given us.

To provide an atmosphere where people can worship the one, true God freely and passionately, where people fall in love with the Father.

To make Disciples of Christ by helping people understand God's Word and ways, through teaching, small group Bible study, seminars, etc.

To strengthen and encourage our children, youth, singles and families, building strong individuals who know God and live in love, servanthood and faith.

To provide a safe place where the hurt and broken find God's mercy, healing grace and acceptance. We want to be a community where, through nurturing, people can become whole and discover their potential in Christ.

OUR COMMUNITY
At New Life we are committed to helping you get to know God better and to grow spiritually. You will find relevant messages, great music and friendly people who genuinely care about each other, all in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. New Life is a multigenerational church family made up of people just like you, from all different types of backgrounds and experiences. God has designed us to be His family and to value every individual as we live in relationship with Him and each other.
OUR STORY
In January 1992, a small group of spiritually hungry people began meeting to pray and seek God for “more of Him”, asking that He would impact this community with His Kingdom in powerful ways. We did not set out to start a church, but out of this extended season of weekly prayer, God called us to do that very thing. With this clear mandate, and a Spirit-fueled passion for the spiritually lost and those searching for more of God, New Life Christian Fellowship was born.
At first we met in a local school, setting up and tearing down each week. Conditions weren't perfect, but God taught us important lessons on perseverance and faithfulness. Next He provided a building where we learned to make the most of each square foot of floor space! In 2004 we purchased our current building with a great location and plenty of room for expansion.
New Life celebrated its 30th anniversary in January 2022. We continue to grow and are excited for all God has planned! We have come a long way since the early days, but our mission is still the same, helping the people of Northeastern Michigan to know Jesus, receive His forgiveness and freedom, to grow in faith, and make a difference in our community and the world for Jesus Christ.
